School of Dentistry Anthology | June Edition
The June 2024 edition of School of Dentistry Anthology is available to be downloaded or viewed online.
The second edition of our School of Dentistry Anthology issue features a collaboration with the Osaka Dental University in Osaka, Japan. The submissions demonstrate advances in research both institutions are undertaking.
We also showcase five critically appraised topics, or case CATs, from dental students who received awards during Research Day and at the Oregon Dental Conference this year. Following the caseCATS are six manuscripts converted from posters that were presented by faculty, post-doctoral scholars, staff and students at Research Day in March.
The online academic publication is an opportunity for the OHSU School of Dentistry to share its scholarly work with the world.
The publication is peer reviewed, fully citable and searchable through the OHSU Library Digital Collections.
The purposes are to:
- Encourage scientific and clinical collaboration and discovery.
- Give students, residents and junior faculty a platform to communicate their discoveries on a platform with a short publication cycle and no fees.
- Introduce students and new investigators to the publication process, including writing, peer review and editing.
- Showcase the school’s expertise in original research, case studies, critically reviewed topics, reviews or commentary.
- Promote the school’s visibility and reputation in the research and dental communities by demonstrating its expertise and advances in oral health.
The project team consists of Ron Sakaguchi, D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D., M.B.A., School of Dentistry dean and senior editor, Samyia Chaudhry, D.M.D., Christina Truong, D.M.D., Rhonda Morin, APR, M.L.S., and Pam Pierce, M.L.S., M.S.
