Dental Olympics in action

Dental school is a team sport; it’s not an individual sport

OHSU School of Dentistry first-year students united during orientation experience at Cannon Beach in September 2024. The two-day trip featured many activities including a fun sand sculpture building contest called the Dental Olympics. The annual trip, named after the late School of Dentistry dean, Jack Clinton, D.M.D., encourages the future dentists to bond through teamwork, creativity and a friendly competition. “This (trip) helps us get to know each other. It’s a good start for us as a team so we can support each other,” said Lynn Choi, a first-year student.
