From war to peace

Dan wanted to escape the violence in Iraq; he was a high-school senior who had witnessed the horror of war first-hand: he saw his best friend shot to death while they were walking to school.

Paul Schupf H ’05 took action and extended his generosity to help the Iraqi teenager begin a new life by bringing him from the chaos of Baghdad to Thomas College.
